Dr. Michael Mullen is chief physician of the Department of General Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology and Diabetology at Städtisches Krankenhaus Pirmasens, having moved to this position from Mainz University Medicine. He treats disorders of the gastrointestinal tract and liver as well as endocrine and kidney conditions; the department is a DDG-certified diabetes center and, since 2012, an accredited colorectal cancer center with a weekly interdisciplinary tumor conference, which he co-leads with surgeon Dr. Peter Gaßmann.
