Prof. Dr. Alexander Meining is a specialist in internal medicine and gastroenterology and heads the gastroenterology section as deputy clinic director at the Medical Clinic and Polyclinic II of the University Hospital Würzburg. He is a board member of the German Society for Gastroenterology, Digestive and Metabolic Diseases (DGVS). His research focuses on emerging techniques in endoscopic tumor therapy, optimization of diagnostic endoscopy, and interventional endoscopic procedures; he has been regularly listed among Germany's top physicians by Focus magazine since 2016.
