About
Prof. Castera is Professor of Hepatology in the Department of Hepatology at Hôpital Beaujon, AP-HP, Université Paris-Cité, in Clichy, France. He serves as the UEG Council Liver Representative for the European Association for the Study of the Liver (EASL) and chaired the development of international guidelines on non-invasive liver fibrosis testing. His research focuses on non-invasive assessment of liver fibrosis and he is involved in the LiverScreen Project, a European initiative for early detection of chronic liver disease. He co-authored the 2026 Paris International Liver Meeting summary review.
