About

Moderated poster MP0333 at UEG Week 2026, presented by Maurice Michel (University Medical Center Saarland, Germany) in the session "Clinical and public health perspectives in SLD: Detection, disparities, and treatment impact" (Hall 7 – Poster Stage 6). The study uses the Adelphi Real World MASH Disease Specific Programme, a cross-sectional physician survey from January to May 2024 with 65 physicians and 587 patients with MASH in Germany. Of the patients, 59% had fibrosis stage F0/F1, 40% F2/F3 and 1% F4. Obesity was present in 78% and type 2 diabetes in 49%; 73% had two or more cardiometabolic risk factors. Treatment rates were high, mainly with metformin, cardiovascular agents and GLP-1 receptor agonists, and the authors call for better treatment strategies for MASH with F2/F3 fibrosis regardless of diabetes status.
