The Department of Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology at Evangelisches Klinikum Bethel Bielefeld (Johannesstift site), led by Chief Physician Prof. Dr. med. Martin Krüger, treats conditions of the entire gastrointestinal tract as well as the liver, gallbladder and pancreas. The department has a modern endoscopy and diagnostic center with 24-hour emergency endoscopy, is part of the Bielefeld Abdominal Center, and hosts a DKG-certified colorectal cancer center.
