The Department of Gastroenterology, Hematology and Oncology, Palliative Medicine (Internal Medicine II) at Klinikum Gütersloh, led by Chief Physician Prof. Gero Massenkeil, treats diseases of the GI tract, liver, gallbladder and pancreas as well as hematologic-oncologic conditions. As part of the Visceral Oncology Center, colorectal and pancreatic tumors are treated on an interdisciplinary basis; the modern endoscopy unit was established in 2017.
