The Department of Gastroenterology and Diabetology at Klinikum Itzehoe is led on an interim basis by Dr. Julia Hirdes-Montigel. Services include diagnosis and treatment of esophageal, gastrointestinal, pancreatic, and liver conditions, including colonoscopy, gastroscopy, small bowel endoscopy, ERCP, high-resolution sonography and endoscopic ultrasound, esophageal manometry, pH monitoring, and breath testing, along with a certified colorectal cancer center.
