The Department of Internal Medicine/Gastroenterology at Klinikum Leer is led by Dr. med. Jörn-Carsten Studt, M.Sc. Services include gastroscopy and colonoscopy with polypectomy, ERCP, capsule endoscopy, double-balloon enteroscopy, endoscopic ultrasound with interventions, abdominal ultrasound, elastography for liver fibrosis diagnostics, duplex sonography, a specialized IBD clinic, and a liver outpatient clinic. The center has been ISO 9001 certified (DEKRA) since 2017.
