The Department of Internal Medicine 4 at Klinikum Mutterhaus der Borromäerinnen in Trier, headed by Dr. med. Erwin Rambusch, is certified as a European ESBGH training center – one of only seven nationwide. The department is part of the visceral oncology center with dedicated colorectal, esophageal and pancreatic units, and offers modern video endoscopy including polypectomy, bile duct stone removal and stricture dilation across five procedure rooms with its own recovery area.
