The 1st Department of Internal Medicine for Gastroenterology, Nephrology, Geriatrics, Metabolic Diseases, Nutritional Medicine and Infectious Diseases at Klinikum Passau, led by Prof. Dr. Matthias Wettstein, offers ultrasound examinations of abdominal organs, gastroscopy and colonoscopy, as well as biliary endoscopy. The department also performs interventional procedures such as polyp removal, ulcer treatment, stone removal and stricture dilation, and holds DEGUM certification for ultrasound training.
