The Department of Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, Metabolic and Infectious Diseases at Elbe Klinikum Stade, led by Chief Physician Dr. Ivo van der Voort, performs over 5,000 endoscopies annually, including colonoscopy with polyp removal (ESD), ERCP with bile duct interventions, cholangioscopy, endosonography, capsule endoscopy and double-balloon enteroscopy. The department is a certified tumor center for colorectal and pancreatic cancer.
