Knappschaftsklinikum Saar – Standort Püttlingen
The Department of Internal Medicine at Knappschaftsklinikum Saar, Püttlingen site, led by Chief Physician Prof. Dr. med. Vincent Zimmer, has existed since 1965 and is regionally recognized for interventional endoscopy, performing about 900 upper endoscopies annually, including gastroscopy, colonoscopy, ERCP and endosonography; together with surgery it forms the Saar Bowel Cancer Center.
Outside opening hours
The central emergency department (Zentrale Notaufnahme) is open around the clock (24/7) and treats medical emergencies of all kinds, including as a certified local trauma center with a stroke unit. For acute, life-threatening emergencies, call the nationwide emergency number 112.
