The Department of Internal Medicine, Bowel and Metabolism at Marienhospital Gelsenkirchen, led by Prof. Dr. Wilhelm Nolte, treats all diseases of the digestive tract and performs over 4,500 endoscopies annually. Services include upper and lower GI endoscopy, bile duct and pancreatic duct endoscopy (ERCP), ultrasound and endosonography, as well as diabetes and metabolic disorder treatment.
