The Department of Internal Medicine II - Gastroenterology, Diabetology at SLK-Kliniken Heilbronn (Klinikum am Gesundbrunnen) is led by Prof. Dr. med. Uwe Weickert. The certified colorectal cancer center has existed since 2007. Services include a modern endoscopy center, colonoscopy, ultrasound and functional gastroenterology diagnostics, infectious disease care, a diabetes center, and hepatology, complemented by a weekly tumor board.
