Research focus: impact of metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) on immune control of chronic hepatitis B infection; led a DFG Emmy Noether junior research group 2010–2015. Awarded the Helmut Holzer Prize (2012) and DFG Emmy Noether funding (2010).
